Vapesoko Nairobi no longer stocks the Tugboat Pulse 20000. This review stays online for anyone researching the device, and it is updated with what we stock in its place as of September 2026.
The short version for anyone who came here to buy: we still carry Tugboat, just not this model. The Evo Pro 15000 at KSh 3,000 and the T12000 at KSh 2,800 are the two in the catalogue, and both are covered properly below.
Sold to adults of 18 and over. We verify age before dispatch, and our riders may ask for ID on delivery.
What the Pulse was
The Pulse sat in the high-capacity end of Tugboat's sealed disposable range. Sealed means exactly that: it arrives filled and charged, you use it, and when the liquid is finished, the whole thing is finished. Nothing is refilled, and nothing is replaced.
The "20000" in the name is the manufacturer's puff rating, not a measurement. Every brand tests these on a machine under its own conditions, and real output moves a long way depending on how hard and how often you pull.
What we will not tell you about it
The old version of this page carried a price, a capacity and a battery figure. All of it is gone.
The Pulse is not in our catalogue. We have no cartons to read, no stock to weigh and no way to check a claim against a real unit. Every number that used to be on this page came from a supplier listing, and supplier listings for high-puff disposables are the least reliable numbers in this category. We have seen the same device listed with three different capacities on three different sites.
So we will describe how it behaved and leave the spec sheet blank rather than fill it with guesses.
At a glance
- Format: sealed disposable, prefilled and non-refillable
- Class: high-capacity, the tier above the everyday 10,000 to 12,000 devices
- Puff rating: a manufacturer figure in the product name, not something we measured
- Capacity, battery, strength: not stated here, because we cannot verify them
- Availability at Vapesoko: not in the catalogue
How it actually vaped
Tugboat's house character has been consistent across the range, and the Pulse was no exception: a warm, fairly full draw with sweet flavours that lean rich rather than sharp. Their fruit and ice profiles generally landed on the syrupy side of the market, which people either like a lot or find heavy.
Big disposables share a set of behaviours worth knowing, whatever the brand. Flavour tends to be at its best in the first third and softens as the device works through its liquid. Chain vaping generally produces a warmer, thinner draw until the wick catches up. And the bigger the stated puff count, the more the rating tends to depend on a low-power setting rather than the way most people actually use the thing.
The Pulse was a solid device of its type. It was not doing anything the rest of the Tugboat range does not do.
What we stock instead
This is a genuinely easy repositioning, because both replacements are the same brand. If you liked the Pulse because you liked how Tugboat vapes, you are not changing flavour house.
Tugboat Evo Pro 15000, KSh 3,000
The closest match on capacity. This is the one to look at first if you bought the Pulse for its size.
- 30ml prefilled, the largest capacity of any disposable in our catalogue
- 750mAh battery
- Up to 15,000 puffs, manufacturer rating
- 50mg (5%) nicotine
At KSh 3,000 for 30ml, that works out to KSh 100 per ml, which is the lowest cost per millilitre of any sealed device we sell. Millilitres are measurable in a way puff counts are not, so that is the comparison we would actually make.
Tugboat T12000, KSh 2,800
The value pick. List price is KSh 3,000, and we sell it at KSh 2,800.
- 24ml prefilled
- 600mAh battery
- Up to 12,000 puffs, manufacturer rating
- 50mg (5%) nicotine
That is about KSh 117 per ml. A little more per ml than the Evo Pro, KSh 200 less on the sticker. If you rotate flavours often, the smaller device means you are not committed to 30ml of one thing.
Which one
Straightforwardly: Evo Pro if you want the device to last longer and cost less per ml, T12000 if you want the lower upfront price and shorter commitment to a single flavour. There is no third consideration. They are the same brand, the same format and the same nicotine strength, and the only real variables are size and price.
Both clear our free Nairobi delivery threshold of KSh 2,000 on their own, so a single device ships free in Nairobi.
