This is the shelf for sub-ohm devices: thick, high-VG liquid at low nicotine strength, made for a mesh coil below one ohm and a wide direct-to-lung draw.
Every freebase bottle we stock is mixed at 70/30 VG/PG, with one deliberate exception noted below. That ratio is what makes it work in a vape mod or a direct-lung pod mod, and what makes it wrong for a small pod kit.
Two decisions, not three
Most e-liquid pages present formats as if you are choosing between three things. You are choosing along two independent lines.
First, how the nicotine arrives. Either the bottle comes at the strength you want, or it comes at 0mg with room left for you to add it.
Second, what the liquid is for. Freebase at low strength for sub-ohm devices, which is everything here, or nicotine salts at high strength for pod kits, which is a different category.
Pre-mixed or shortfill
A shortfill is a large bottle deliberately underfilled at 0mg, with the headroom left for nicotine shots you add yourself. The Doozy range is the true shortfill here: 100ml of 0mg in a 120ml bottle. Add two 18mg nicotine shots and the full 120ml comes out at 3mg. One shot gives you roughly 1.5mg in 110ml.
Shake it properly after adding the shots, and give it a day or two if the flavour seems flat at first. Nicotine shots are sold separately on this shelf.
Pre-mixed means the bottle arrives at the strength printed on it and you do nothing. Nasty Juice 60ml, Ultimate Juice 120ml and Ultimate Puff 120ml come pre-mixed, at 3mg, 6mg or 12mg on Ultimate Juice and up to 18mg on some Ultimate Puff bottles. Those three ranges and Doozy are the whole of this shelf.
The one 50/50 bottle on this shelf
Doozy Cool Mint Pod Fill is mixed at 50/50, not 70/30. It is made for a pod kit rather than a sub-ohm tank, and it is the only bottle in this category that belongs in one. The rest of this shelf is formulated for higher-power sub-ohm coils and may not wick reliably in a low-power pod kit.
Why the strengths look so low
A 3mg freebase bottle and a 50mg salt can deliver a similar amount of nicotine, because they work differently. Freebase uses volume: a sub-ohm coil moves a lot of liquid per puff, so a low concentration adds up. Salts use concentration: a tight pod coil moves very little, so the strength has to be high.
That is why 3mg to 6mg is normal here and why 18mg exists mainly for people mixing down or using a higher-resistance coil. If you want the detail, our guide on freebase against salts covers it.
What to run it in
A sub-ohm tank or a direct-lung cartridge on a mesh coil below one ohm, at the wattage printed on the coil. Our vape mods and the direct-lung side of our pod mods are the devices this is for, and replacement coils keep them going.
Bottle size is the practical argument here. For a regular sub-ohm user, a 100ml or 120ml bottle generally works out at a lower cost per millilitre than smaller bottles or pre-filled devices.
Storing it
Keep bottles closed, out of direct sun and away from heat. Liquid darkens over time, which is normal and is not a fault. Keep it out of reach of children and pets; the bottles have child-resistant caps for a reason.
