Flavour profile
Strawberry and milkshake, and according to the maker, a pastry note as well. Ultimate describe ripe strawberries and creamy milkshake, bursting with the juicy flavour of strawberries and the smooth taste of a milkshake, and list four notes on the page: milk, milkshake, pastry and strawberry. Their own summary line reads ripe strawberries, pastry, and creamy milkshake.
Not one retailer mentions pastry. The two that describe the flavour at all, using the same line of copy between them, call it freshly picked strawberries in a creamy shake and stop there. So the pastry is a maker-only claim, and it is the difference between a plain strawberry shake and something closer to a strawberry tart with cream.
Read the strawberry as ripe and sweet rather than sharp. Nothing anywhere describes it as tart.
Thin coverage, and what that means
This flavour has the weakest paper trail of the new arrivals. The only two retailer descriptions are word for word identical, which makes them one piece of copy on two shops rather than two opinions. Two of the larger UK stockists that carry the Shakes line do not carry Strawberry at all, and two others list it as an option without publishing a word about it.
None of that says anything about the liquid. It does mean the maker's own description, pastry included, is close to the whole of the public record, and that any richer account you find elsewhere has been invented to fill the gap.
What you are actually buying
A full 120ml bottle, pre-nicotined at the strength you order. Nothing to add, nothing to wait for.
Ultimate sell this in Britain as 100ml of 0mg liquid in a 120ml bottle, with 20ml left for two nicotine shots. Same flavour, different format, and a UK listing will describe work that has already been done here.
VG/PG and the device it suits
Seventy VG, thirty PG, sub-ohm.
Strawberry is one of the flavours that turns from fruit to sweet-shop when a coil runs hot, and a cream base will thin out at the same point. Keep it moderate. A mod with proper wattage control such as a VOOPOO Drag S2 gives you somewhere to sit; a fixed-output device does not.
Choosing 3mg, 6mg, 12mg or 18mg
Three and six for sub-ohm coils, decided by the coil. Twelve and eighteen for tighter, higher-resistance ones.
There is no strawberry milkshake on the Vapesoko salt shelf. The nearest salt with a cream register is Raspberry Jam Ultimate Salts Custard 30ml, which is a different fruit and a different base, so this is a freebase-only flavour here.
Practical notes
Cream and sugar together are hard on mesh. Expect to change coils sooner than you would on a plain fruit bottle, and treat a caramel edge as the coil rather than the liquid.
No menthol, Koolada, or cooling agent is listed. Ultimate's cooled flavours are in the separate On Ice and Chilled lines.
Where it sits in the Ultimate range
One of two new Shakes flavours, alongside Blueberry Ultimate Puff Shakes 120ml, and the third in the sub-range hereafter Vanilla Ultimate Puff Shakes 120ml. Vanilla is the plain shake with no fruit at all, so the three now run plain, berry and red fruit.
Elsewhere on the catalogue, Strawberry and Cream Doozy Seriously Donuts 100ml Shortfill covers similar ground from a different maker, built around a doughnut rather than a shake. Strawberry Pom Ultimate Puff Chilled 120ml is the cooled strawberry if the cream is not what you want.
Buying and delivery
The red-fruit shake, and the sweetest of the three. Nairobi addresses get it the same day from Vapesoko Nairobi, nearby towns get it on early dispatch, and the rest of Kenya gets it in 1 to 2 business days.
