The device that started the PnP X platform
The S2 is where VOOPOO launched PnP X, the coil platform that four other devices on this shelf now share. Twenty-five hundred milliamp-hours, sixty watts, a colour screen and a five-millilitre cartridge. A straightforward pod mod that happens to sit at the centre of the largest consumable ecosystem on this shelf.
Buying into a platform matters more than buying into a device. Whatever you replace this with later, if it is a VOOPOO pod mod, the coils almost certainly carry over.
Two cartridges, and they are different devices
PnP X comes in a DTL cartridge and an MTL cartridge, and which one you fit changes what this is. VOOPOO PnP X DTL Pod Cartridge 5ml with a low-resistance coil makes a warm direct-lung device; VOOPOO PnP X MTL Pod Cartridge 5ml with a higher-resistance coil makes a tight cigarette-like one.
VOOPOO lists 0.3Ω and 0.6Ω PnP X coils for the Drag S2 MTL pack. The cartridge’s narrower airflow path changes the draw; it does not mean that only high-resistance coils fit. Choose a supported coil for the exact cartridge and use its marked operating band.
PnP X is not PnP, in either direction
The coil is a VOOPOO PnP X Replacement Coil, and it will not fit an original PnP pod. Nor will an original PnP coil fit a PnP X cartridge. The base connection is different, and the two platforms are deliberately separate.
The VOOPOO Drag H40 Pod Mod Kit 1500mAh 40W on this same shelf is the original PnP device, and it is the only one here that is. If you own both, you are buying two coil families.
Two cartridges, two completely different bottles
Liquid choice follows the cartridge and coil actually fitted. The 0.6Ω PnP X option supports MTL/RDL at its marked 18–23W band; the 0.2Ω option is rated at 40–60W. Suitable 50/50 options are on the Nicotine Salts shelf and freebase options on the E-Liquids shelf. Choose liquid suited to the fitted cartridge or tank, coil and operating power. Follow the marked coil band and exact liquid/device guidance for ratio and concentration. Avoid high-strength nicotine salts in high-power DTL use; resistance alone does not establish a universal nicotine concentration.
If the draw or flavour is poor, check liquid compatibility, the fitted coil, saturation, power and airflow according to the device instructions.
Power, filling and airflow
The Drag S2 charges through USB Type-C. Follow the supplied charging instructions and disconnect it from the cable before use.
The device has adjustable airflow. Use the supported airflow control to choose the draw you prefer.
Living with a 2500mAh pod mod
The device has a nominal 2500mAh battery and outputs up to 60W. Runtime varies with power, puff duration and frequency. Check the battery indicator to decide when to recharge.
Charge through USB Type-C according to the supplied instructions. Keep the device out of direct sun and hot parked vehicles, and follow its storage-temperature guidance.
The entry point to a five-device platform
It is the lowest-capacity PnP X device here and the plainest route onto the platform. The VOOPOO Drag S3 Pod Mod Kit 3000mAh 60W is its direct successor with a larger cell and the same sixty-watt ceiling; the VOOPOO Argus Pro 2 Pod Mod Kit 3000mAh 80W adds twenty watts on top of that.
Drag S2 uses the PnP X platform. Select the cartridge version and coil supported by the exact device; coil fitting and operating power must both match.
The first coil, and how long PnP X lasts
Press the coil into the cartridge, wet the exposed cotton with a few drops, fill, refit and wait five minutes. Skipping that on a sub-ohm coil finishes the coil before you have tasted the liquid.
VOOPOO publishes an up-to-100ml e-liquid benchmark for PnP X coils. Treat it as a manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed replacement interval: actual results depend on the liquid, settings, usage and maintenance. Follow the exact coil’s instructions and inspect its condition.
