The platform VOOPOO built to replace PnP, and mostly has
PnP X arrived at the end of 2023 with the Drag S2 and has taken over the VOOPOO range since. Seven resistances, all mesh, all press fit, spanning 0.15 ohm at eighty watts down to 1.0 ohm at ten. It is a narrower family than the original PnP by design: VOOPOO cut the duplicated resistances and published one clear band for each.
Five devices in the Vapesoko range run it, which makes it the busiest coil platform here. A buyer in Kenya with any of the five needs this page rather than the original PnP one. Four of them are pod mods that take the coil in a magnetic cartridge; the fifth, the Drag 5, takes it inside a 510 tank.
One coil, one band, no guessing
Every resistance in this family has a single published wattage range and a single published VG recommendation, which is unusual and unusually useful. Set your device inside the band, and the coil will do what VOOPOO designed it to do.
At 0.45 ohm and below,w you are in lung-draw territory, and VOOPOO allow anything from fifty to seventy per cent VG. At 0.6 ohm the range narrows to fifty or sixty, and at 0.8 and 1.0 ohm it is fifty flat. VOOPOO print it on the coil packaging for exactly this reason.
Five devices here take it, and one of them surprises people
The Drag S2, Drag S3, Drag X3 and Argus Pro 2 are the obvious four. The fifth is the Drag 5, which is a 510 box mod rather than a pod mod; it ships with a UForce-X tank, and that tank is a PnP X part. A Drag 5 owner buying coils is shopping on this page, not on the tank coil pages.
The letter X does not mean what it looks like it means
Two separate traps sit on this platform, and both come from VOOPOO’s own naming.
The first is the Drag H40. It reads like a sibling of the Drag S2, and it is not. The H40 runs original PnP, while the Drag H40 Pro, a different device entirely, switched to PnP X. Two names one word apart, two incompatible coil families.
The second is a 2021 pod that VOOPOO called the PnP-X Pod, three years before the PnP X platform existed. Their store now lists it as “PnP-X Pod (Old)” and says outright that it does not belong on a Drag S2. It takes original PnP coils. If a listing says PnP-X and mentions the Drag X or Drag S, it is the old part.
Seating a coil and wetting it properly
PnP X coils press straight into the base of the cartridge or tank with a firm push until they click. There is no thread and no correct rotation.
Wet the cotton at the side ports before it goes in, fill, and then wait. Five minutes standing is the minimum on a 0.15 or 0.2 ohm coil, because a large mesh surface takes longer to saturate than a small one. Start ten watts below the bottom of the band for the first tank and work up.
The only VOOPOO coil with a published lifespan
VOOPOO rate PnP X coils at up to a hundred millilitres of e-liquid, which works out at roughly twenty refills of a five-millilitre cartridge. That figure is specific to this platform. It does not apply to original PnP, and it does not apply to TPP.
Treat it as VOOPOO’s best case rather than a guarantee. It assumes a coil run inside its band on a liquid that is not heavily sweetened, and dessert flavours in particular will fall short of it.
The bottle that goes with each end of the range
From 0.45 ohm down, VOOPOO allow anything from fifty to seventy per cent VG, and you want three milligrams of freebase nicotine; the Nasty Juice 60ml and Ultimate Puff 120ml ranges sit at the top of that range.
At 0.8 and 1.0 ohm, drop to fifty per cent VG and move to a nicotine salt at twenty milligrams. The 0.45 and 0.6 ohm coils sit between the two, and a sixty per cent VG liquid at ten milligrams suits them better than either extreme.
