A pod kit is the simplest refillable device there is. A small battery, a pod you fill yourself, and a tight mouth-to-lung draw close to a cigarette. Most people arrive here from disposables, and it is usually the right next step.
The appeal is running cost and choice. You buy the device once, then only e-liquid and the occasional pod. You also stop being limited to whatever flavour and strength came sealed in the last bar you bought.
What a pod kit is, and what it is not
A pod kit runs at low power, takes a pod with the coil built in or clipped into it, and is built for nicotine salts rather than high-VG liquid. It is not a vape pen, which is an older cylindrical format, and it is not a pod mod, which adds real wattage control and a much larger cell.
If you want clouds and a wide, airy draw, you are on the wrong shelf. That is what pod mods and vape mods are for.
Platforms do not cross between devices
Pods and cartridges are tied to a platform, and nothing from one platform will seat in another. A pod that looks almost identical will not fit.

Before you buy a device, check that we stock the pod for it. A pod kit you cannot get parts for later is a false economy.
Resistance, and why the same bottle can feel different
Pods come in different resistances, usually somewhere between 0.4Ω and 1.2Ω. Higher resistance means a tighter, cooler draw and less liquid moved per puff. Lower resistance means a warmer, looser draw and more liquid.
That matters for strength. A lower-resistance pod run at higher power generally moves more liquid per puff, so the same bottle can feel noticeably stronger. Delivery depends on resistance, power, airflow, draw length and the device itself, so there is no single threshold that applies everywhere. Follow the resistance and wattage range printed on your pod or coil, and treat a change in how a familiar liquid feels as a sign that the hardware changed rather than the bottle.
What to run in it
Nicotine salts, at 50/50 VG/PG, which is what every salt in our range is mixed at. That ratio is thin enough to wick through a tight coil.
A 70/30 freebase bottle is a poor match for a pod kit. The thicker liquid is formulated for higher-power sub-ohm coils and may not wick reliably at pod-kit power, which shortens coil life. Getting a pod to last
Fill it, then leave it ten minutes before the first draw so the wick soaks properly. Skipping it is one of the most common reasons a new pod tastes burnt straight away. Then keep it topped up rather than running it dry. Flavour usually fades before a pod fails outright, and that fade is the signal to change it instead of a fault.
Coming from disposables
Two things change. You choose your own strength and flavour, and you spend less over time. A bottle of salts costs a fraction of the disposables it replaces, and the device keeps going.
Two things you take on. You refill it, and you replace the pod every week or two. That is the whole of the maintenance.
