The device for somebody who wants no decisions
This is the device to buy if you have been using disposables and want to stop, and you do not want to learn anything to do it. There is no wattage to set, no airflow ring to fiddle with and no menu. After filling and preparing the pod according to its instructions, use either draw activation or the fire button. The A3 supports both methods.
At 11.7mm thick, it is the slimmest thing here by a wide margin, and at 31g you will forget it is there. It disappears into a shirt pocket in a way none of the pod mods here can.
The pod, and the one thing to get right
The A3 uses an integrated-coil cartridge, replaced as a whole when replacement is indicated. Check the exact A3-family cartridge and device compatibility; A3S, AK3 and AZ3 are also listed in this cartridge family. GPP/G-series and the older A2 use different parts. That is worth knowing before you buy a second device. Two Caliburns on a desk can take two completely different consumables, and the A-series and G-series are parallel lines, not a ladder.
What to fill it with
Use a liquid supported by the exact A3 cartridge and device instructions. Suitable 50/50 is the stocked pairing; ratio and nicotine form are separate properties. Do not infer an unavoidable dry hit within a set number of puffs from a high-VG label.
The Nicotine Salts shelf includes 50/50 ranges such as ELFBAR ELFLIQ 10ml and BAR Salts 10ml. Use a suitable 50/50 liquid and choose nicotine concentration according to the exact liquid, cartridge, device and operating-power guidance. Suitable 0.6Ω-and-above stocked pod/MTL configurations are not excluded merely because they are below 1Ω, but this does not approve every concentration at every power. Perceived smoothness or harshness alone does not establish delivered dose. Moving from a disposable does not establish one required starting concentration for every user.
Power and charging
The A3 has a 520mAh battery, fixed output up to 13W and a 2ml A3 cartridge. Both draw activation and the fire button are available.
Charging and everyday running
Charge the A3 through its USB Type-C port according to the supplied instructions.
The A3 has a nominal 520mAh battery. Runtime and charging frequency depend on power, puff duration and frequency. Monitor its battery indicator and follow the charging instructions; no fixed daily interval or empty-to-full time is established here.
Where to start, and when to start higher
This is the entry point. Every other device here has something the A3 does not (adjustable power, adjustable airflow, a bigger battery, a screen), and every one of them asks you to decide on return.

What arrives, and the first ten minutes
The manufacturer pack contains two 1.0Ω, 2ml A3 pods: one pre-installed and one spare. Each pod has an integrated coil and is replaced as a complete cartridge.
The A3 supports draw and fire-button activation. Prepare the fitted cartridge according to its instructions and select a compatible liquid and listed concentration; prior disposable use does not prescribe a required starting strength or direction of change.
Priming, and the mistake that ruins a first pod
Follow the A3 cartridge and device first-fill procedure, including its saturation wait. Do not activate a dry wick. Stop using a persistently burnt cartridge and replace it as instructed.
Follow the exact cartridge’s fill-level and use instructions, keeping its wick supplied with liquid. If flavour changes, check charge, contacts, settings where applicable and component condition before replacing it. A muted note alone is not proof the cartridge is worn.
