Full-size TFV18 coils and Mini coils share resistances and will not swap. Check the packet for the word Mini rather than for the number. The resistance on its own will not tell you which you are holding.

The resistance is printed on the side of the coil itself. On most of these platforms, it is the pod that decides which coil fits, not the name on the model.
A sub-ohm tank coil from the last era of big tanks
The TFV18 Mini is a smaller version of a tank SMOK built when sub-ohm tanks were still the default way to vape at high power. Three mesh coils, all direct lung, all wanting somewhere between forty and a hundred and ten watts, and a tank that screws onto any 510 mod.
That category has narrowed considerably since. Pod mods took over the middle of the market, and a tank like this is now a specific choice rather than the obvious one, which is exactly why the coils are worth keeping around for the people in Kenya who made that choice.
Two coils with numbers, one without
The 0.2 ohm single mesh is the everyday coil. Forty to eighty watts, best around sixty, and the one that gives a six-and-a-half-millilitre tank a reasonable life between changes.
The 0.15 ohm dual mesh is the high-power option at eighty to a hundred and ten watts. Two mesh strips instead of one means it heats faster and produces a great deal more vapour, and it goes through liquid and battery accordingly.
The 0.33 ohm is listed here without a wattage figure, deliberately. SMOK publish none, and the number that circulates for it is character-for-character the figure quoted for the full-size TFV18 coil of the same resistance, which is what a copy-paste looks like rather than a measurement. Mesh area and thermal mass set a band as much as resistance does, so a higher-ohm coil taking more power is not impossible, but an unverified figure on a coil at ninety watts is not something to publish. Start around fifty watts and work up, or use the manual that came with your tank.
The three things it goes into
A short list, and it repays reading closely, because three of the four entries are kits rather than tanks, and their names give no clue that they are related. The G-Priv 4 in particular is sold as a kit with this tank already in the box, so a G-Priv 4 owner is on this page whether they know the tank name or not.
Mini and full-size coils are not the same part.
SMOK made both a TFV18 and a TFV18 Mini, gave the coils near-identical resistances 0.15 and 0.33 ohm appear in both families, and then made them physically incompatible.
The device lists do not overlap at all. Full-size TFV18 coils go in the TFV18 and TFV16 tanks and in the Mag P3, Morph 2 and ARCfox. Mini coils go in the TFV18 Mini, the Fortis and the R-Kiss 2. Nothing appears on both lists.
If a coil looks right and will not thread, that is the reason. Check the packet for the word Mini rather than for the resistance.
Wetting a big mesh coil before the first puff
These hold more cotton than any pod coil. Saturate every wicking port until the liquid stops soaking in, screw the coil into the tank base, fill, and let it stand for a full ten minutes.
Then start at least twenty watts below where you intend to run it. A dual mesh 0.15 ohm coil taken straight to a hundred and ten watts on its first draw is likely to scorch, and once mesh has burnt, there is no reviving it.
What to expect from a pack of three
SMOK publish no life figure for these, in line with everything else they make. A tank this size holds enough liquid that a coil’s life is better measured in refills than in days.
The 0.2 ohm will comfortably outlast the 0.15 ohm dual mesh, because it is doing less work for the same tank. If you are getting only a few days from a coil, the wattage is the first thing to look at.
Liquid for a tank at ninety watts
A 70/30 freebase at three milligrams, and nothing stronger. High-power sub-ohm tanks are the clearest case in vaping for a low nicotine strength. The vapour volume does the work that concentration does elsewhere.
The Doozy 100ml shortfills and the pre-mixed Ultimate Juice 120ml bottles are made for tanks of this kind, and a high-VG liquid wicks better through mesh this large than a thin 50/50 does.
