TPP is a tank platform of its own. Nothing here fits a PnP or PnP X cartridge, and no TPP coil is tighter than 0.3 ohms. If your mod takes a 510 tank, VOOPOO PnP X Replacement Coils are the current alternative.
- Fits
- The TPP Pod Tank and TPP Pod Tank 2
- The TPP-X Pod Tank
- The Maat Tank
- VOOPOO Drag 3 and Drag 3 TPP-X
- VOOPOO Drag X Plus, Drag X Plus Professional and Drag X Pro
- VOOPOO Argus GT II, Argus XT and Argus MT in their Maat edition.ns Does not fit ✕ Any PnP or PnP X cartridge or tank; three separate platforms, no crossover ✕ Any device in the Vapesoko range. TPP is here for owners of earlier VOOPOO hardware.
Not sure it is the right one? Message us on WhatsApp with a photo of the coil you are replacing rather than of the device, and we will tell you which family it belongs to before you order. The resistance is printed on the side of the coil itself. On most platforms, the pod determines which coil fits, not the model name.
A high-power platform from the generation before PnP X
TPP was VOOPOO’s answer to the sub-ohm tank market in 2021, four mesh coils, none of them above 0.3 ohm, all built for direct lung vaping at forty watts and up. It powered the Drag 3, the Drag X Plus and the Maat-tank Argus mods, and for a couple of years it was the coil a serious VOOPOO cloud vaper bought. A good many of those mods are still working in Kenya, which is why the coils are still made.
It has since been overtaken. VOOPOO have quietly removed TPP from the platform navigation on their own website while continuing to manufacture and sell the coils, which is the clearest signal a brand ever gives about where a range sits.
Four coils, and why two of them share a resistance
The DM1 and the DM3 are both 0.15 ohm, and they are not duplicates. VOOPOO rate the DM1 at sixty to eighty watts and the DM3 at eighty to a hundred, so the DM3 is the one for a mod that can genuinely deliver that power and the DM1 the one for everything else. Running a DM3 at sixty watts will not hurt it, but it will taste thin.
The DM2 at 0.2 ohm and the DM4 at 0.3 ohm are the sensible everyday choices. The DM4 in particular will outlast the others comfortably, because less power through more resistance is easier on mesh.
Which tanks and mods this coil belongs to
TPP is a tank platform rather than a pod platform, which is the neatest way to remember it. There is no TPP cartridge and never was. The coil goes into a 510-threaded tank, and that tank screws onto a mod.
What to do when a TPP device finally retires
This is worth saying plainly, because nobody selling TPP coils says it. If your Drag 3 or Argus GT II eventually gives up, the coils do not carry across to anything VOOPOO currently make. TPP, PnP and PnP X are three separate physical fittings.
The migration path is a 510 one. Any TPP mod will accept a VOOPOO UForce-X Tank 5.5ml or a VOOPOO PnP X Pod Tank DTL 5ml in place of the TPP tank, and those two run VOOPOO PnP X Replacement Coils, a current platform with a published lifespan and seven resistances instead of four. Changing the tank rather than the mod is the smaller half of the decision, and it puts the device back on a coil family that is being actively extended.
Getting a new coil bedded in
TPP coils press home into the tank base, the same way every other VOOPOO coil platform works (VOOPOO describe it as press-fit installation needing no tools). Wet the wicking ports before the coil goes in, fill the tank, and let it stand for a good ten minutes: a 0.15 ohm mesh coil in a five-millilitre tank holds a lot of cotton and takes its time.
Start twenty watts below the top of the band. A DM3 fired straight at a hundred watts on its first puff is very likely to scorch, and no amount of care afterwards brings the flavour back.
What VOOPOO say about coil life here is nothing
No figure is published for TPP in any unit. The hundred-millilitre rating that VOOPOO give elsewhere belongs to PnP X alone and cannot be read across.
Practically, the DM4 outlasts the DM2, which outlasts the DM1, which outlasts the DM3. Power is the variable that matters most, followed by how much sweetener is in the bottle.
Liquid for a platform with no tight coils
Every TPP coil is sub-ohm and every one of them is direct lung, so there is only one sensible answer: a 70/30 freebase at three milligrams. The Ultimate Juice 120ml bottles come pre-mixed at exactly that, the Doozy 100ml shortfills mix to it with their two nicotine shots, and six milligrams is the realistic ceiling.
A nicotine salt has no place in a 0.15 ohm coil at eighty watts. The volume of vapour a coil like that produces turns a twenty-milligram liquid into something genuinely harsh.
