That is a pod, not a kit. It is the part you click into a G3 you already own. It does not come with a battery, and it will not make a working device on its own.
The verdict
The G3 was a good small pod kit, and it earned its reputation. It was easy to fill, it was consistent, and it did not ask you to learn anything before it worked.
None of that helps if you cannot buy one. Our honest verdict in 2026: a fine device, no longer purchasable, and not worth hunting down second-hand when the current Caliburn kits cover the same ground and still have pods on the shelf. If you own one, buy the pod and carry on. If you are shopping, skip to the alternatives.
What the G3 was actually like to use
It was an unfussy device. You filled the pod, you dropped it in, you drew on it. There was no learning curve and very little that could go wrong day to day. The draw was on the tight side, in the Caliburn house style, which is what most people bought it for, and it suited slow, deliberate puffs rather than long, hard pulls.
The pod was the maintenance item and the thing that decided whether you liked the device. Sweet and dark flavours generally shorten pod life, clear menthols generally stretch it, and chain vaping shortens it further. The practical complaint, then and now, was cost per pod rather than performance: at KSh 2,500 a pod, how often you replace it matters more to your running cost than anything else about the device.

Our catalogue does not carry a verified figure for any of them, and the numbers floating around retail listings do not agree with each other. Who each one suits, by use pattern
- You want the G3 experience with parts still on the shelf: the G4, the closest thing in spirit and the obvious default.
- You are out all day and away from a charger: the G5 Lite SE, the largest cell of the three at 1600mAh, so it generally goes longer between charges.
- You vape in short bursts and charge at a desk: the A3. 520mAh is enough for that pattern, and it is the cheapest way in and the tightest draw of the three.
