This is the older Caliburn generation, where the coil is a separate part that presses into an empty pod. If your device is a G3, G4 or G5, you need a UWELL Caliburn GPP Replacement Pod cartridge instead.

The last UWELL platform where the coil is a separate part
On a Caliburn G2, the pod is an empty plastic cartridge, and the coil is a small press-fit cylinder that goes into its base. You replace the coil when the flavour drops and you keep the pod until it cracks or clouds, which is usually several coils later.
Every UWELL pod device released since has abandoned that arrangement in favour of a sealed cartridge with the coil moulded in. This page is therefore the last of a line, and the reason a Caliburn G2 or Ironfist L is still worth owning, because the running part is the smaller of the two.
Three coils, and UWELL only calls one of them a G2
The naming here is UWELL’s, and it is inconsistent. Strictly, only the 1.2 ohm is a CALIBURN G2 Coil. The 0.8 ohm and the 1.0 ohm are CALIBURN G Coils, from the earlier device. All three fit all the same hardware, so they are commonly sold together as G/G2 coils, which is fair enough, but if you are searching UWELL’s own documentation, that is why the 0.8 ohm never appears under G2.
The 1.0 ohm is the odd one out in a second way: it is the only coil of the three that is not mesh. UWELL still list it as available separately on the Caliburn X, GK2, GZ2 and Ironfist L pages, though it is considerably harder to find at retail than the other two.
Ten devices, one coil
UWELL kept the platform alive across several years of hardware, and a fair number of those devices are still in service in Kenya. The Caliburn Explorer stands out: it runs two cartridges at once, and with a 0.8 ohm coil in each it reaches thirty-two watts.
Why a Caliburn G4 coil does not exist
Search for “Caliburn G4 coils”, and you will find plenty of listings. None of them is a coil. Every one is a UWELL Caliburn GPP Replacement Pods cartridge sold under the device’s name, because no G4 has a replaceable coil to sell.
The same applies to the G3 and G5 families and to anything described as a G5 coil. If your device is a G3, G4 or G5, you replace the whole cartridge and the coil goes with it. That is a real difference in what you are replacing and how often, and it is the main thing separating the G2 generation from everything after it.
The A-series is a third architecture again, and shares nothing with either.
Seating the coil and wetting the cotton
Push the coil into the base of the empty pod until it seats flush. There is a small resistance, and then it stops. Put two or three drops of liquid onto the cotton visible through the side openings before you do, fill the pod, and give it five minutes.
On the 1.0 ohm non-mesh coil, be a little more patient still. Round wire in a tight coil wicks more slowly than mesh does, and it is the one in this group most likely to punish a first puff taken too soon.
How long these run for
UWELL publish no life figure for the Caliburn G coil family, no millilitres, no refills, no puff count. None of the three has ever carried one.
The consolation is that on this platform a worn coil is the only thing you are replacing. On the sealed-cartridge devices that succeeded it, the same wear means discarding the plastic housing too.
What to fill the pod with
All three coils want a 50/50 nicotine salt. The 1.2 ohm and 1.0 ohm are firmly mouth-to-lung and are commonly paired with twenty milligrams. The 0.8 ohm pulls noticeably more liquid per puff, so ten milligrams is the concentration usually matched to it.
Twenty milligrams sits on the BAR Salts 10ml and ELFBAR ELFLIQ 10ml shelves; the Nasty Salts 30ml range starts at thirty-five for a heavier habit. High-VG sub-ohm liquid is thicker than a 1.2 ohm coil is built to wick and is likely to shorten its life.
