This is an empty pod. It arrives with no coil in it and no spare in the box, which catches people out. Order coils at the same time or the pod is unusable.

The resistance and the capacity are usually printed on the cartridge body or stamped into its base: that marking identifies the part far more reliably than the name of the device it came out of.
Five millilitres, and nothing inside it
The Nord 5 pod is a large, plain, empty tank with a coil socket in the base and a silicone stopper in the side. Five millilitres is a great deal of liquid for a pod device. It is what allows a Nord 5 to run a 0.15 ohm coil at seventy watts without needing a refill every couple of hours.
Sold in threes, which is the sensible quantity given that a pod on this platform typically outlives several coils.
The pod and the coil are two purchases
This is worth being blunt about because it is the single most common disappointment with this product. The pod arrives empty. No coil is fitted, no coil is in the box, and the pod does nothing at all until you put one in.
The coils it takes are SMOK RPM 3 Replacement Coils, in either 0.15 ohm for forty to eighty watts or 0.23 ohm for twenty to forty-five. Your original Nord 5 kit shipped with one of each.
If your vape has simply gone flat or tastes burnt, the coil is what needs replacing, not this. Buy a pod when the plastic has crazed, the stopper no longer seals, or a fresh coil in that pod still leaks.
One device, and that is the whole list
Unusually short, and it reads as a warning rather than as a limitation. Nothing else carrying the Nord name takes this pod, in Kenya or anywhere else.
Sharing a coil is not sharing a pod
The Nord GT is the trap here, and it is a subtle one. It is a five-millilitre pod device that runs RPM 3 coils, exactly like the Nord 5. Everything about it suggests the pods should be interchangeable.
They do not. SMOK sell Nord 5 pods and Nord GT pods as separate parts, and each is meant for its own device alone. Two pods can take the same coil and still be different shapes.
The Nord 6 is a cleaner distinction: a different pod, and a different coil family again, since the Nord 6 runs what SMOK call RPM 4.
Follow that logic through, and it becomes the rule for most of the platform. Six devices take an RPM 3 coil (the Nord 5, the Nord GT, the RPM 5, the RPM 5 Pro, the RPM 85 and the RPM 100), and the only two of the six that share a pod are the RPM 85 and the RPM 100, which SMOK sell one pod for. Own two of them, and you can keep a single box of coils, but you will still be buying two kinds of pod.
Setting up a fresh pod
Press the coil into the base until it seats, having wet the cotton through the side ports first. Fill through the silicone stopper on the side of the pod, replace it firmly, and let the whole thing stand ten minutes before the first draw.
Ten rather than five, because five millilitres over a large mesh coil is a lot of cotton. Begin around forty watts on the 0.15 ohm coil and raise it gradually across that first pod.
When the pod itself is finished
SMOK publish no pod life figure, in line with everything else they make. The pod is a durable part and should outlast several coils comfortably.
Replace it on evidence: fine cracks in the plastic, a stopper that no longer grips, or persistent leaking with a coil you know is new. Clouding on its own is cosmetic and is caused by sweeteners and menthol rather than by wear.
Filling a pod this large
A 70/30 freebase at three milligrams, on either coil. Both RPM 3 resistances are firmly sub-ohm, and at forty watts and above a nicotine salt becomes harsh very quickly.
Five millilitres also makes a larger bottle the sensible format; the Ultimate Juice 120ml and Nasty Juice 60ml ranges suit the arithmetic better than a 10ml bottle does.
