The listed original RPM coils support the compatible RPM, Nord, IPX, Thallo, SCAR, Fetch and Morph devices shown above. Match the exact pod as well as the device.
Seven coils, from a 0.3 ohm mesh built oddly for a mouth-to-lung draw up to a 1.2 ohm quartz, plus a rebuildable deck for people who prefer to wind their own.
A range that covers both draw styles properly
The 0.4 ohm mesh and the 0.6 ohm triple coil are the restricted-lung half of the family and want twenty-five watts or so. The 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 ohm coils are the mouth-to-lung half and run comfortably in the low teens.
The 0.3 ohm mesh sits outside that logic. It is the lowest resistance here and SMOK still label it MTL, which is unusual. The intent is a warm, dense mouth-to-lung draw rather than a wide one. It is the coil to try if a 0.8 ohm feels thin but a lung draw is not what you want.
The quartz 1.2 ohm is the outlier at the other end, and a pack of them is an easy thing to try.
Where this coil turns up
Note how many entries in the list above are qualified by a pod name. Eleven of these devices shipped with more than one pod, and only the RPM one takes a coil from this page.
RPM, RPM 2 and RPM 3 are three walls, not three tiers
The numbers suggest a progression where each generation improves on the last and the parts broadly carry over. They do not. RPM, RPM 2 and RPM 3 are three physically different coils, and the seat each one drops into is a different diameter from family to family.
The RPM 4 kit uses its specified RPM or LP2 pod. Match the coil to the pod fitted in that kit.
If you are shopping for a Nord 5, none of this applies. That device is on RPM 3, and the correct part is SMOK RPM 3 Replacement Coils. SMOK also make sub-ohm tank coils such as SMOK TFV18 Mini Mesh Replacement Coils, which are a different category again and share nothing with any pod coil here.
Getting a new coil wet before you fire it
Fit, prime and fill the exact RPM coil and compatible cartridge according to their instructions. Observe the specified first-fill wait before firing; no comparative wait is established from resistance alone.
Lifespan, and a straight answer about the numbers
The RBA is a rebuildable option requiring suitable coil-building and wicking knowledge. Inspect its deck, coil, wick and connections, follow the exact compatibility and operating instructions, and replace parts according to their condition. Rewicking does not make a coil or deck indefinitely serviceable.
Liquid selection for the exact fitted coil
Choose the exact coil code and a compatible cartridge/device, then follow its marked power range and liquid guidance. Resistance alone does not prescribe nicotine concentration or guarantee nicotine delivery. Suitable 50/50 liquids are used on our stocked pod/MTL setups at 0.6Ω and above; concentration suitability remains separate, and lower-resistance DTL options require their own exact guidance. Compare individual bottles in nicotine salt: BAR Salts 10ml, ELFBAR ELFLIQ 10ml, Nasty Burst Nic Salt 30ml.
