12.5A, not 125A. The capacity is real and independently verified; the discharge figure that travels with this cell is a lost decimal point. At 12.5A, it suits a mod set to around seventy watts, not one run flat out.
The capacity claim on this cell is one of the few in the category that survives independent testing intact; two samples measured above 6000mAh. The discharge figure is 12.5A, and the section below explains why any larger number is not possible.

- Fits
- Any 21700 mod set around 36W on one cell or 72W on a pair
- Anyone who would rather charge less often than run flat out. Does not fit ✕ An 18650 mod such as the VOOPOO Drag 5 Mod Kit 177W Dual 18650, where a 21700 simply will not fit the bay ✕ Any mod whose maker specifies a minimum discharge rating above 12.5A ✕ Any mechanical mod, where there is no board between the coil and the cell
Not sure it is the right one? Message us on WhatsApp with your mod and the wattage you actually run it at, and we will tell you whether this cell clears it. The two things that matter are the number of bays and the continuous discharge rating, and neither is printed anywhere on the mod.
Six thousand milliamp-hours, and it genuinely holds them
Independent bench testing of two samples of this cell returned six thousand and sixty-five and six thousand and eighty-seven milliamp-hours. It meets its rating and slightly exceeds it, which is rare enough in this market to be worth saying out loud.
Vapcell backs it with a full published specification: a minimum capacity of five thousand eight hundred and fifty, internal resistance around sixteen milliohms, and over a thousand charge cycles before it falls to seventy per cent of capacity. That is a serious cell.
The rating is 12.5 amps, and 125 is not a version of it
This needs stating plainly, because the wrong number travels with this cell wherever it is sold. The published Vapcell figure is twelve point five amps continuous. Somewhere in the retail chain a decimal point went missing, and twelve point five became a hundred and twenty-five.
A hundred and twenty-five amps from a 21700 is not a pulse rating, a peak rating or a marketing figure with some basis in fact. It is not a number Vapcell publishes anywhere. It is a typing error, and it overstates what the cell can safely deliver by a factor of ten.
Three ways to see that it cannot be right. The highest continuous rating published for any 21700 today is sixty amps, so a hundred and twenty-five would be more than twice the most capable cell in the format, and this is a high-capacity cell, which is the opposite kind of design. At sixteen milliohms internal resistance, a hundred and twenty-five amps would generate two hundred and fifty watts of heat inside a seventy-four-gram object, which has nowhere to put it. And emptying six thousand milliamp-hours at a hundred and twenty-five amps takes under three minutes, which is racing-drone territory, not vaping.
Twelve point five amps is the number. It is a good cell at that figure.
What twelve and a half amps runs
Continuous rating, number of cells, three point two volts, and nine tenths for the board. One cell supports around thirty-six watts; two support around seventy-two.
Seventy-two watts from a pair of six thousand milliamp-hour cells is a genuinely attractive combination if that is where you actually vape. Twelve thousand milliamp-hours between two cells is more capacity than any other pairing in the Vapesoko range, and at moderate power it will go a long time between charges. The LG INR21700 M52V 5200mAh Battery is the nearest thing to it and holds rather less.
Where it does not work is at the top of a mod’s range. Set sensibly, a pair of these will go longer between charges than anything else in the Vapesoko range, wherever in Kenya you happen to be. The Armour Max is the exception, and it is a firm one: VAPORESSO specify twenty-five amps or better for that mod, so this cell sits outside its published requirement at any setting.
A runtime cell, deliberately chosen
The fitment list above is short by design. If you set your mod at fifty or sixty watts and want to charge as rarely as possible, this pairing is a considered choice rather than a compromise.
Charging a six thousand milliamp-hour cell
Vapcell publish a standard charge current of two amps with a hundred milliamp cut-off, and a quick charge figure of three and a half amps. As with any lithium cell, the standard rate is kinder, and the quick rate is there for when you need it.
Charge to four point two volts, stop there, and never discharge below two and a half. Use a charger with independent bays and automatic termination, indoors, on a hard surface, not unattended overnight.
On a pair in a dual mod, an external charger matters. A mod charges a series pair as one stack and cannot even them out, so any drift between the two widens over time.
Handling, wraps and cases
Seventy-four grams, unprotected, flat top. Its casing carries the negative terminal and is electrically live; the sleeve and the ring at the positive end are all that keep the two apart.
Check both before every insertion. Re-wrap a torn sleeve properly rather than taping over it. A cell that has taken a hard knock or shows a dent should be taken out of service. Keep spare cells in a plastic case instead of loose alongside coins or keys.
Judging a cell rating for yourself
The habit worth taking from this page: when a discharge figure looks extraordinary, check it against the physics rather than against another listing. Internal resistance times current squared gives you the heat the cell has to shed, and a cell that would cook itself cannot hold the rating.
A second check is simpler. No 18650 has a genuine continuous rating above about thirty amps, and no 21700 above sixty. Any figure past those is quoting something other than continuous discharge, or is quoting nothing at all.

A high-drain 21700 has arrived
Vapcell P42A 21700 4200mAh 30A Battery holds less than this cell, 4200mAh against 6000mAh, and delivers far faster at 30A against 12.5A. It is the first cell on this shelf to meet the 25A minimum VAPORESSO specifies for the Armour Max. Buy this one for runtime at low power and that one for power.
