What 220 watts is actually for
Two hundred and twenty watts on two 21700 cells, wrapped in a thermoplastic shell built to survive being dropped. This is the most capable device in the collection by a wide margin and the only one designed around being knocked about.
As with any mod at this level, the headline number is not the point. What two large cells and a 220-watt ceiling actually give you is a device that runs at sixty watts for a very long time without the draw softening as the batteries drain.
GTi, and the two coil families it is not
The coil is VAPORESSO GTi Replacement Coils, made at 0.15, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.5 ohms. The kit ships with a 0.2 ohm coil rated for sixty to seventy-five watts and a 0.4 ohm coil rated for fifty to sixty watts.
It is not GTX. VAPORESSO states plainly that GTX and GTi coils are not interchangeable; GTX belongs to the Luxe XR and Target PM devices. And it is not GTL either, whatever any guide says. GTi is the only family that fits.
Which tank, and an honest note about the bundle
VAPORESSO sell the Armour Max in more than one configuration. One pairs it with the iTank 2 at eight millilitres and another with the iTank T at six. Both are 510-threaded, and both take GTi coils, so the coil decision is the same either way.
The VAPORESSO iTank T 6ml is the six-millilitre one, and it is a working tank for this mod whichever bundle the kit arrives in. The coil is the same either way. What differs between the two is capacity and glass, so check which you have before buying a spare.
What you need to buy alongside it
Two 21700 cells, or two 18650 cells on the adapter in the box. Either format has to be a matched pair: bought together, used together, and never mixed with a cell of a different age or make. Both formats are on the battery pages on the Accessories shelf.
It charges on board over USB Type-C at two amps, which is slower than the VOOPOO Drag 5 Mod Kit 177W Dual 18650 manages, but perfectly usable. A separate charger is still worth owning, because it looks after each cell individually in a way an in-device port cannot.
Liquid for a 220-watt mod
A 70/30 freebase at three milligrams. At the wattages a 0.2 ohm GTi coil is built for, that is the only sensible answer, and six milligrams is already the practical ceiling and not a middle option.

What VAPORESSO publish, and one number the guides get wrong
VAPORESSO publish the wattage range, the chipset, the modes, the coil family, the charging rate, the dimensions for both bundles and the weight. It is the best-documented device on this shelf.
The number to watch is the power. Several listings head this device at 200 watts; VAPORESSO publish five to 220 on two separate pages. Two hundred and twenty is the figure.
Where it sits, and who should not buy it
It is the top of this shelf, and it is not for everybody. If you are leaving disposables, this is three or four steps too far. Start at the UWELL Caliburn A3 Pod Kit 520mAh MTL or the VAPORESSO XROS 5 Pod Kit 1500mAh 30W instead.
It is for somebody who already vapes at sub-ohm wattages, already owns cells and a charger, and wants a device that will still be working in three years. In Kenya, where two 21700 cells and a charger are a serious addition to what is already a serious device, that distinction matters more than the wattage does.
Setting up 220 watts safely
The order matters on a device this size. Fit the coil into the tank and wet the cotton through the side ports; fill the tank and leave it five minutes; fit a matched pair of cells the right way round; then set the wattage inside the coil’s band before you fire it.
The supplied 0.2 ohm coil is rated at sixty to seventy-five watts and the 0.4 ohm at fifty to sixty. Neither wants two hundred and twenty. The headroom on this mod is there so it never strains at sixty, not so you run a mesh coil at three times its rating.

Until recently, nothing on this catalogue met the twenty-five amp minimum VAPORESSO specifies for this mod.
