One pod fits every XROS ever made, with a single exception: the 0.4 ohm, which belongs on the higher-output bodies.

Not sure it is the right one? Message us on WhatsApp with a photo of the pod or cartridge you are replacing rather than of the device, and we will tell you which one it is. The resistance and the capacity are usually printed on the cartridge body or stamped into its base: that marking identifies the part far more reliably than the name of the device it came out of.
One pod, eighteen generations of the same device
VAPORESSO have released the XROS in something like eighteen variations since 2021 and kept them all on one pod. That is a rare piece of discipline in this industry, and it is the main practical reason to own an XROS: a pod bought today fits a device bought five years ago.
The pods themselves are sealed cartridges with a COREX mesh coil moulded in. There is no coil to buy, prime or lose, and no wattage to set. The device reads the fitted pod and configures itself.
Eight combinations, and how to narrow them down
Start with resistance, as always. The 1.2 and 1.0 ohm pods are tight mouth-to-lung and suit anyone coming from a disposable. The 0.8 ohm is a conventional mouth-to-lung and the most popular of the range. The 0.6 and 0.4 ohm are restricted lung and pull noticeably more liquid.
Then capacity, which here means the three-millilitre versions where they exist. Two millilitres is the UK and EU legal cap on a refillable tank.
The 0.7 ohm is the one to avoid unless you specifically want it. It exists only as a COREX 2.0 pod in three millilitres; it appears in no COREX 3.0 listing, and it has largely gone from retail. Treat it as end of life.
The devices this pod covers
VAPORESSO’s own claim is that every pod fits every XROS device. That holds for the 0.6 ohm and above, and the list above reflects it. Whichever XROS reached Kenya, the pod is the same part. The 0.4 ohm is a genuine exception and is dealt with next.
The 0.4 ohm breaks the universal-fit promise
VAPORESSO’s store says all XROS pods work with all XROS devices, in those words. VAPORESSO’s brand site says the 0.4 ohm is restricted to the XROS 4, XROS 4 Mini and XROS Pro. Two of the manufacturer’s own websites, two different answers.
The restriction is generally read as extending to the newer high-output bodies as well (the Pro 2, the 5 series and the 6 series), with everything from 0.6 ohm upwards fitting the whole range.
The safe reading, and the one used here: universal compatibility is real from 0.6 ohm up. The 0.4 ohm belongs on the higher-output XROS bodies and should not be sold as fitting an original XROS or an XROS Nano.
Two smaller conflicts sit alongside it. VAPORESSO label the 0.4 ohm as mouth-to-lung on one page, though a 0.4 ohm pod on a thirty-watt device is realistically direct lung. And the 0.6 ohm three-millilitre pod is listed as clamshell on one VAPORESSO site and side filling on the other.
Two fill methods, and telling them apart
Some pods fill through a silicone plug in the side. Others use what VAPORESSO call a clamshell, where the top section opens. Both appear at three millilitres depending on the resistance, so know which you have rather than levering at the wrong part.
Whichever it is, fill it, fit it and let it stand five minutes before the first draw.
One of only two published pod lifespans here
VAPORESSO rate XROS pods at six to eight refills each. That is one of only two manufacturer pod-life figures anywhere in the Vapesoko range, and worth taking seriously as a benchmark.
Six refills of a three-millilitre pod is around eighteen millilitres. If you are getting substantially less, the usual cause is a heavily sweetened liquid rather than a faulty pod.
Worth knowing about COREX generations while we are here: COREX 3.0 is current, COREX 2.0 is the previous version and still on sale in several resistances, and COREX 1.0 has effectively gone from retail even though VAPORESSO’s documentation still asserts it is compatible.
Salt, and the strength that suits each end
Salt at 50/50, whichever pod is fitted. Twenty milligrams on the 1.2, 1.0 and 0.8 ohm; ten milligrams on the 0.6 and 0.4, where the pod pulls far more liquid per puff, and the same bottle delivers noticeably more nicotine.
For those strengths, the ELFBAR ELFLIQ 10ml shelf is the one that sells them; anyone needing more than that is into Nasty Salts 30ml territory, which begins at thirty-five.
Nairobi orders and the towns around it go same day from Vapesoko Nairobi. The rest of Kenya arrives by courier, usually within 1 to 2 business days.
