The resistance and the capacity are usually printed on the cartridge body or stamped into its base: that marking identifies the part far more reliably than the name of the device it came out of.
One cartridge, seventeen devices, no coil to buy
The G Pod Platform is UWELL’s answer to a problem they created themselves: too many Caliburn devices, each with its own pod. GPP is a single cartridge that fits sixteen of them by UWELL’s own reckoning, and the Caliburn G5 Koko besides, with the mesh coil sealed permanently inside.
That sealed coil is the defining feature. There is nothing to press in, nothing to prime separately and nothing to lose. When the flavour goes, the whole cartridge goes with it, which is simpler to live with, and a different arrangement from a platform where the coil is a separate part.
Reading a table with two variables
Resistance decides the draw, exactly as it always does. Nought point four and nought point six ohms give a restricted lung draw; nought point nine and one point two are mouth-to-lung, with the 1.2 the tightest thing UWELL makes on this platform.
Capacity and fill method are the second axis, and they are not independent. Three millilitres comes in both side and top refill. Two and a half millilitres is side refill only. Two millilitres is top refill only. So choosing a capacity often chooses your fill method for you.
A caution on the 3ml cartridges: UWELL assert compatibility right across the platform but publishes no height clearance figures. The taller 3ml cartridges are a safe bet on the G3 Pro, G4 and G5 bodies, which cover every GPP device in this range. The shorter G3, G3 Lite, G3 ECO and GK3 are the bodies where a 2.5ml or 2ml cartridge is the confident choice, and none of those devices is sold here.
Four of them are in the Vapesoko range
The G4, G4 Pro, G5 Koko and G5 Lite SE all run this cartridge, which makes GPP the busiest consumable on the UWELL side of this catalogue. The rest of the list is there for anyone in Kenya arriving with an older Caliburn, because a G3 or a GK3 needs exactly the same cartridge.
There is no such thing as a Caliburn G4 coil
Search for one, and the results are plentiful, and every single one is a GPP cartridge sold under a device’s name. UWELL do not make a G4 coil, a G5 coil or a G3 coil, because none of those devices has a coil you can remove.
So if you came here looking for a G4 coil, you are in the right place and the part you need is the cartridge listed at the top of this page. Match the resistance you are replacing, and nothing else has to change.
The older UWELL Caliburn G2 Replacement Coils platform is the one where a separate coil genuinely exists, and it fits nothing on the list above. The UWELL Caliburn G3 Refillable Pod is the same idea as a GPP cartridge under an earlier name, while the UWELL Caliburn A3 Refillable Pod belongs to a separate line altogether.
Getting a new cartridge started
There is no coil to prime, but the cotton inside still needs to wet through. Fill the cartridge, fit it, and leave it standing for five minutes before the first draw. Then take two or three pulls with the device off.
Devices on this platform detect the fitted resistance and set their own power, so there is no wattage to get wrong. On the G4 Pro and G5, the screen will show you which cartridge it thinks is fitted, which is a useful check that it has seated properly.
GPP Alpha, and the only life figure UWELL publish
UWELL make a second cartridge on this platform called GPP Alpha, in the same four resistances at three millilitres and two, with a fill port at the top and side. It is one of only two consumables in the whole range with a manufacturer-published lifespan.
UWELL rates it at seventeen or more refills on the 3ml pod and twenty-five or more on the 2ml, which they total at fifty millilitres of liquid, and they claim double the lifespan of a standard GPP cartridge. The standard cartridge itself carries no published figure at all.
That is a real difference, and run the two side by side before you settle on one. The Alpha also has a soft-touch mouthpiece.
One ratio, and the strength follows the resistance
A 50/50 nicotine salt throughout. Nothing on this platform is high-VG territory, even the 0.4 ohm restricted lung cartridge is a pod cartridge rather than a sub-ohm tank.
